Fresh from her UK tour with Goat Girl, Washing, D.C.-based drum machine queen Sneaks has unveiled the third single from her new album Highway Hypnosis. True to form, ‘Hong Kong to Amsterdam’ is another concise nugget of danceable beats and ambiguous vocals that reinforce her reputation as a master of minimalism. Filmed on location during her European tour Sneaks explained, “I wanted to use the energy of the tour as a vehicle for the video but avoid making a ‘tour video’ and I think we accomplished that...In some ways it became an unintentional love letter to the European transit system.” Highway Hypnosis will arrive on the 25th of January courtesy of Merge Records. -Harry Martin
